STARFIBER® launched microfiber in America in the early-90's selling mops and cloths at home shows and fairs on the West Coast. At that time, we couldn't give the stuff away. Flat mopping with microfiber, cleaning without chemicals, environmentally friendly - this was radical stuff!
Once people began to see how convincing our STARFIBER® microfiber worked in demonstrations, they were hooked. Cleaning suddenly got much easier for a lot of us and we kept on selling the same amazing products at shows, on TV and the internet.
Mastering microfiber production in the 2000's
While we gained a lot of experience on the field with our customers, moping and scrubbing for the cause of microfiber, soon enough we realized that our products' quality and efficiency ultimately relied on how they were manufactured.
At a time when low quality microfiber was flooding the US market we set up our production lines in Korea, then China and soon partnered up with local research institute and laboratories to come up with both affordable and innovative microfiber products with the highest quality standards.
All the while, having extended control over our supply chain allowed us to ascertain our coporate social responsibility and not to compromise with our work ethic.
Innovating beyond microfiber in the 2010's
STARFIBER® core values have always been about improving cleaning chores while reducing their impact on our environment and on our health. We have always looked at cleaning tools in a systemic way, designing tools that can combine not only with the amazing properties of microfibers, but also many other type of textiles.
To this end, STARFIBER® has entrusted Concept Manufacturing, a leading ODM manufacturing company in the cleaning industry, with the development and the production of a new range of products that can meet the standards of our Greener Clean™ commitment.

What is a greener clean? We think it starts with a commitment. A commitment to the environment, to the people we make products for and to our employees who make our products.
